Brandon Roberson

A 1996 graduate of Western Hills High School, Brandon Roberson made his mark on the baseball field. He earned accolades including First Team All District honors in 1995 and omega  Associates FWISD  Player of the year 1996 and Fort Worth Star Telegram’s First Team All County list. Brandon was recognized on the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association’s First Team All State in both 1995 and 1996, as well as the Texas Sports Writers Association’s First Team All State. Continuing his baseball career at Hill College, he was selected as First Team All-Conference in 1997 and 1998. He then played at Texas Tech University, where he earned First Team All-Big 12 honors in 1999 and 2001. During his time there, he set a school record for saves in a season in 1999 and recorded 13 wins in 2001, ranking second in the school’s history for a season. Brandon was also honored as a member of the First Team Big 12 All Decade Team for 2000-2010.

Professionally, he was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 1997, the Seattle Mariners in 1999, and ultimately signed with the Houston Astros in 2001 where he played three seasons in their organization. Brandon is currently coaching at Frenship High School in Lubbock, Tx.

Off the field, Brandon is a dedicated family man. He lives with his wife, Jacy, and their two sons: Brooks, a 19-year-old student at Louisiana Tech, and Barrett, a 15-year-old at Frenship High School
