Crystal Jones – Class of 2013

 While at Western Hills Crystal played Varsity Basketball 3 seasons and started as a star shooting guard on the team. The Cougars won the District Championship in the 2011- 2012 season and went to the playoffs each year she was on the team. She  received many awards including 1st Team All district and Newcomer of the year. While receiving all these awards in Basketball she also was on Varsity Track & Field all 4 years from Freshman year to Senior year. In the 2011-2012 season the Women’s track & Field also won the District Championship.  Each year she qualified for regionals but came up short for 3 years to go to state.  Finally her senior year she brought home the gold in long jump by winning the state championship jumping a 19’03”. With all the offers she received from D1 schools for track she decided to go with her first love Basketball and played two years at Bossier Parish Community College and two years at LeTourneau University. She received many awards from each school. At LeTourneau she was nationally ranked for most points , most steals , most minutes played in a game and highest free throw percentage! She also became WBCA All-American her senior year of collegiate year and played two years of semi – pro ball. She received her first degree in Bachelor’s of Healthcare Management and second degree in Masters of Healthcare Administration and pursuing to become a Nurse Administrator.
